I tried to respond to your question regarding the value of Technology as a subject but somehow the link went missing, I lost the message and now the link seems removed from the site.

Regardless, my comment related to wanting to see the findings of the researchers and the nature of the research.

I would like a researcher to really look into the effectiveness of Technology as a subject in terms of the attributes that you mentioned that would be nurtured and compare them with the traditional subjects also mentioned in your post.

On top of the above, perhaps consideration could be given to those learners, if any, who might not have mathematical aptitude, or interest for that matter, who could gain these higher order thinking skills etc. using technology as a vehicle.

I am personally reasonably well studied, formally and informally with industrial experience and have had the attitude of lifelong learning since a child. I am 48 years old now so I feel that my opinion may carry some weight. If this is so then perhaps one may note that I have not yet found a more effective vehicle to develop the skills and attributes in young people that you have mentioned than Technology.

If approached incorrectly, it has the potential to fail btu with proper application it could be truly marvelous.
