Dear Web 2.0 explorers

I hope that by now you have started exploring cyberspace, if you still can’t get the hang of it I am going to try and find that thing that will revolutionaries your thinking about Web 2.0.

After all if you can’t see how it can serve your personal purpose, then why go for it?

Let’s start with delicious! Here is step by step on how to register to delicious.

What’s delicious (except for a description of a very yummy thingy?)

Bookmarking your favorite sites on the net.

Why must I do it when I can add to favorites on my computer?

Here is why:

  • Never worry about computer crashes and losing your favorites
  • Access my favorite sites from anywhere on this planet
  • Easy find (“what was the site on good knitting advices?”)
  • Share with friends and colleagues

Here is how:

Step 1:

Go to http://delicious.com/ to register

Click on – Join Now

Complete all the details

Step 2:

Click on Add buttons – this inserts the delicious button in the top bar on your computer

Click on Run Software

You can Import now from your bookmarks on your computer

Or you can start using delicious

When finding a site you like you go to top right – “Save to my delicious” – click on it and start bookmarking…

Tip: Tags are a one – word descriptors that can help you organize, and find again. Assign as many tags as you want as this will assist you in finding the site you are looking for.

The use of Web 2.0 is to enhance our teaching. Treat it as tools for teaching.
I.e. we should look at what outcomes we want to achieve in our learning areas and thereafter incorporating Web 2.0 tools as a support and a boost  in achieving these outcomes.
